The speaker comes to you mostly charged with a charging cord. The charger will tell you when the battery is full. Rare Birds will automatically pair to the last device it was paired with.

Metal boxes are insulated to create a wood like sound and to eliminate any sort of metal like rattling. All are tested rigorously for wonderful sound. They are also scrubbed and sealed to give them a rusted finished look and feel.
